The model, who has 34 million followers on Instagram, shared that she felt constantly being on social media made her feel the weight of comparison, which essentially became a “dark hole.”
"When it comes to social media, I’ve definitely gone through so much comparison … comparing myself to other people, getting compared to other people. ... With social media, you click on one thing, and you see another, and then you’re in this weird rabbit hole, and you’re putting yourself down.”
I love that she’s saying this because I think you see images of people on social media that have millions and millions of followers and who are stunningly perfect and have people telling them how beautiful they are and yet she still does the comparison game.
"Everyone has insecurities. Just because people tell [me I’m] beautiful? That’s not how I see it, and that’s not how I feel all the time," Hailey added.
So what does she do? She only uses it on the weekend and has someone else manage it during the week.
