How (and Why) to Make a 'Thankful Turkey' This Thanksgiving

Credit: Tanya Rad

Happy Thanksgiving month! I decided I'm going to wait until we are A LITTLE closer to Thanksgiving to fully do my Christmas takeover on the Rad Pad. So, this weekend I wanted to get in the Thanksgiving spirit and made my Thankful Turkey!

I got a lot of DMs about how to make one and it's SUPER EASY!!

First, you will need construction paper. Brown for the body and whatever color you want for the feathers. I opted for Thanksgiving, fall colors.

I used a martini glass to trace the head and body of my turkey (LOL) using the bottom of the martini glass for the head and the rim of the martini glass for the turkey body.

Cut out the feathers, nose and legs and buy some eyes at Michaels or draw them on and that's all you need. Then glue it all together.

I write what I am thankful for in the center of the turkey and why I'm thankful for it on the feathers surrounding!

It's a great practice to get grounded in what you are grateful for and also an amazing reminder. I put them up in my house so I can be reminded every day!
