Demi Lovato Gave Her First Major Interview In Over A Year

Demi Lovato was at Teen Vogue's 2019 Summit in LA and she was spitting some TRUTHS! I want to talk about the biggest lesson she's learned because I think this is something we can all relate to. Demi said, "Life is not worth living unless you're living it for yourself. If you're doing things for other people it's not going to work out."

This is something that I still struggle with, but I'm continuously working on. There is a big part of me that's a people pleaser - so I tend to do a lot of things I don't necessarily want to do, but I'm really trying not do that anymore

But, you may be wondering how did Demi get to this place? She focused on embracing her body just as it is. She took the month of October off from the gym and she realized, "I am grateful for my strength and the things I can do with my body. I am saying I'm healthy and I accept the way my body is today without changing anything."

I think this is something that I've heard a lot. I talk to a lot of women on DM that say they are waiting to date until, "they lose the extra weight" or they are waiting to do things until they "lose weight" and I just write back and say...why wait?!

I don't think it's bad to want to diet and exercise, but I think when we are stalling other parts of our lives because of it that's when it becomes problematic. I LOVE that Demi opens these types of convos up because if we are being honest here, it's something we all think about daily!
