Rob Lowe Reveals He Turned Down The Role Of McDreamy On "Grey's Anatomy"

Rob Lowe just revealed that he was originally offered the role of Dr. Derek Shepherd, you know McDreamy, on Grey's Anatomy!

On the podcast he was on where he shared this news he said, “I turned down Grey’s Anatomy … to play McDreamy. That probably cost me $70 million dollars! But at the end of the day, I watched it when it came out, and when they started calling the handsome doctor ‘McDreamy,’ I said, ‘Yeah, that’s not for me."

Could you imagine if Rob played the role? SO crazy. Of course us Grey's fans know the role was filled by Patrick Dempsey who did a 10 season run from 2005 to 2015! Do you think Patrick knew that Rob was first offered the role?
