Okay, have you seen A Star is Born? The film is HUGE, it racked in $41 million thus far and it's already getting Oscar buzz!
I recently heard star of the film, Lady Gaga talk about something she did when she got the role and I LOVED it. Gaga said she went makeup free, per co-star Bradley Cooper's suggestion.
She said, "It put me right in the place I needed to be, because when my character talks about how ugly she feel - that was real. I'm so insecure. I like to preach, but I don't always practice what I preach."
This is so refreshing to hear because we ALL have those moments in life. I'd say 89% of the time I feel very confident and modern womany, but there are those moments where I feel extremely insecure. Hearing Gaga say this made me feel good and not alone.
Also, I found it super interesting that she had to do a proper screen test for the movie because there was actually an executive that didn't believe she should get the role. So, for anyone out there that feels like not everyone believes you can do it - take that as a chance to prove them wrong!
