I wanted to pass this story along to show the power of heart. Just because you don't look like the rest, act like the rest, or walk like the rest, doesn't mean you can't compete with the BEST!
Shaquem Griffin lost his left hand at the age of 4 due to a rare condition called amniotic band syndrome. That ultimately stunted the development of his hand.
Later in life he was told he couldn't play football with one hand. Well, he proved them wrong by playing in college and now he was just drafted by the Seattle Seahwaks! He was the 141st overall pick, in the fifth round. He is the FIRST one-handed player to be drafted in the modern era.
Oh also as an added bonus he will be playing with his TWIN BROTHER Shaquill Griffin, who is a cornerback for the Seahawks...drafted third round last year!
His hashtag is...#AgainstAllOdds...I LOVEEE that! What a powerful and beautiful story of heart and determination! Can't wait to watch you continue to WIN Shaquem!
