Adult women need about 11 cups of fluids per day, men need 15 cups. But, it will mainly depend on your body weight and physical activity levels.
A way you can calculate how many ounces you need per day is simple...multiply your body weight (in pounds) by .5. If you're exercising or spending time in the heat multiply your body weight by .66. **Note there are 8 fluid ounces in one cup!
If plain water is boring you can sub other liquids to count towards your intake. Carbonated water works - La Croix anyone?! Also coffee and tea!
Another thing to keep in mind is that fruits and veggies are super hydrating as well. Foods like strawberries, celery and spinach have high water content!
