Relatable: George Clooney's 3-Year-Old Son Crashed His Interview

"Catch 22" UK Premiere - Arrivals

I never realized how connected I would feel to George Clooney, but since he has 3-year-old boy/girl twins and I have 2 and a half-year-old boy/girl twins... we're basically on the same page.

Years back, George handed out ear plugs and a note to fellow fliers when the twins were little, which I never *did* have to do but definitely thought about it the first time we flew with Aiza and Maxon. And now, George was just interrupted in the middle of an interview by his 3-year-old son, Alexander, who walked in covered in chocolate.

And I think all parents are with me when I say "been there!!"

While doing an interview for GQ's cover as 2020 Icon of the Year, George was talking with journalist Zach Baron when his son decided he wanted to hang out with dad. George was actually in the middle of talking about his wife, Amal, when Alexander came in, according to Zach.

According to PEOPLE, the exchange went down like this:

George said: "Oh, hey! Here's Alexander. Here's my son. Come here! Say hi! Say hello! Say 'Hi, Zach!'... You've got chocolate on your face. Do you know that? What is that? Did you have chocolate?"

Alexander answered, "Yeah," and then his dad continued "Yeah? You did? Hey, Alexander? Let's see. How old are you now — 15?"

Alexander responded to his dad that he is, "Three. Because I got my birthday," as toddlers do, and then his dad asked him to say something in Italian - the twins are bilingual. Alexander said, "Molto caldo" which means "very hot."

Sooo cute. I love this little peek into George's life as a dad!

In the interview, he also talked about how being a father at the time of his 2018 motorcycle accident was the reason he decided to stop riding altogether:

"I landed on my hands and knees. If you did it 100 times, maybe once you land on your hands and knees, and any other version you land, you're toast. It knocked me out of my shoes."

Things definitely change when you're a parent - whether that's accepting the meeting interruptions or just changing your lifestyle to be a little safer. Good to have you in the twin parent club, George!
