Hilary Duff may have just gotten married at the end of last month, but she's already thinking about whats next for her... wedding dress.
After spending time honeymooning with her now-husband Matthew Koma in South Africa, Hilary returned back home to her two kids and spoke with PEOPLE, telling them that she plans to keep her dress for she and Matthew's daughter Banks to wear someday.
“It’s getting cleaned right now... It was very dirty by the end of the night!”
Hilary also mentioned that the dress, made by Jenny Packham "felt so like me" and was her "dream dress."
And maybe someday it will become her daughter's dream dress as well!
“It was such a shame to take it off, like I’m never going to wear this again... I guess I’ll leave it in a box and see if Banks ever wants to wear it. I don’t know! But it’s so pretty.”
The dress was made even more special to Hilary because both Banks' (15 months) and Luca's (Hilary's 7-year-old son who she shares with ex husband Mike Comrie) initials are stitched into the gown.
While talking to PEOPLE, Hilary also shared details of she and Matthew's honeymoon (which looked INCREDIBLE, by the way.)
“We did the coolest things... We both had never been on safari and it was what everyone says it is. There are no words. We saw the big five (rhino, lion, tiger, elephant, buffalo) within the first two days! I felt so lucky.”
Of course Hilary mentioned that kids always manage to "bring you back down to earth" because when she returned home and tried to explain everything they saw to Luca, all he wanted to know was “‘But did you see an iguana?’“
Ah, kids. They really are the best.
