#FOTD: Food From Coachella Day 1

Loaded Fries: Chili Con Carne, Beans and Cheese.

When we got into the festival at 2pm I was already STARVING from not having had lunch during our drive out - so we hit the Loaded Fries stand and seriously you guys, this thing of fries was HUGE. Between three of us we couldn't even finish the entire thing.

We got the chili con carne, beans and cheese one and it was SO good. Definitely recommend making a stop and sharing some of these friends with your friends.

Later in the day (but not too much later because the wait gets very long) we had to make the stop at my favorite place inside the festival.

KazuNori: the best hand rolls you will ever have. Ever.

I got the 5 hand roll set menu, and I will admit it was a little much after having earlier eaten the loaded fries, but I are every last bit because it was SOOO delicious.

Unfortunately, KazuNori is located in the Rose Garden which is only accessible if you have a VIP wrist band, but if you DO have one, this is the place to go.

I definitely recommend grabbing some sake at the booth right next to it to sip on either while you eat or while you wait in line. This is the best place to take a minute to sit down and enjoy a seriously good meal, because yes, you actually sit down and are served your meal!

I think the Toro roll and the cucumber roll (both in the photo) were my favorite. The cucumber is especially refreshing in that desert heat.

Pro tip: go here as early as you can. Maybe even get to the festival grounds a little earlier in the day JUST to eat here. It's worth it, but if you wait until the evening, the line gets long. I've waited about an hour and a half here!

After we saw some of our favorite artists - shout out to Diplo who was SO GOOD - it was time for some dinner. And an LA staple never lets us down.

Kogi Food Truck: The chicken Kogi burrito never fails me.

If you need a little convincing on why you should make a stop at Kogi while out at Coachella, just read the burrito's description: "hashbrowns, softly scrambled eggs, shredded cheddar and jack chese, chopped onions and cilantro and chiffonade romaine and cabbage lettuce tossed in Korean chili-soy vinaigrette." That's all in addition to their signature meal that is mouth-watering and delicious.

I'll be making some more food stops today so be sure to check back here tomorrow for more amaaazing meals!
