So Apparently Eating More Cheese Might Help You Live Longer

We all have been told our whole lives that too much cheese is not good for us... but if you're a super fan of cheese, I have some great news for you.

Science is saying you have a reason to eat some more cheese. Because it apparently can help you LIVE longer?

Medical journal The Lancet published a new study that concludes that eating cheese can be good for you!

Basically, the study involved researchers separating reduced-fat dairy consumption from the full-fat counterparts to determine how these different foods affected people's cardiovascular health.

And it turns out eating more than two servings a day of good ol' dairy can majorly reduce your risk of cardiovascular disease and stroke. That's no joke, people!!

The only downside here is that while cheese as a serving of dairy does help, it's milk and yogurt that are the real stars of helping you live longer and keep good health.

But hey, cheese is still considered a positive serving of dairy here, so you can indulge a little and count it as healthy! And always remember one thing: sure, cheese and dairy are good for your cardiovascular health, but these dairy items are also great for keeping your bones strong!

If you're worried about your health because you are lactose intolerant, don't worry too much. "Lactose intolerant individuals may not need to completely eliminate dairy products from their diet, as both yogurt and hard cheese are well tolerated," study authors wrote.

Of course, check in with your doctor before deciding exactly how to manage your intolerance.

Good luck, cheese heads!
