First things first, J.Cole delivers. The âNo Role Modelzâ rapper hit the stage during night one of the 2021 iHeartRadio Music Festival at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Friday, September 17. The Dreamville rapper offered fans and the live audience in Sin City a medley of hits including âMiddle Child,â âThe London,â âPower Trip,â âWet Dreamz,â âNo Role Modelzâ and brought out special guest Bas for their collaboration âThe Jackie.â
While onstage, J.Cole, who recently dropped his sixth studio album The Off-Season, shouted out the âdiverse group of artistsâ performing during the annual iHeartRadio event.
âI didnât know what to expect,â J.Cole admitted. â⊠I was scared as f--k ⊠Iâm not going to lie. ⊠[This is my] first time on a stage in ⊠two years.â
J.Cole was among the epic lineup of performers Friday including Dua Lipa, Cheap Trick, Walker Hayes, FINNEAS, Darius Rucker, Weezer & Nelly with special guests Florida Georgia Line.
Earlier this year the North Carolina native, whose real name is Jermaine Cole, made headlines for achieving his longtime goal of playing ball professionally. In May, J. Cole made his professional basketball debut when he appeared in the Basketball Africa League for the Patriots Basketball Club in Rwanda. The rapper turned hooper's basketball debut came just two days after he released The Off-Season.
The Off-Season features hit collabs with the likes of Lil Baby, 21 Savage, Morray, and Camâron and J.Cole is set to tour the album next.
