Ryan Seacrest connected with a Pfizer vaccine trial volunteer named April on-air on Friday, November 20. April shared she comes from a medical family and wanted to participate to âhelp for the greater good.â
Pfizer is preparing to apply for an emergency use authorization from the Food and Drug Administration for its coronavirus vaccine. The drug company said that the final analysis from their Phase 3 Clinical trial found that the vaccine is 95% effective and has no serious side effects.
âYou get two doses three weeks apart,â April shared with Seacrest. âNow, keep in mind, everybodyâs immune response is going to be different. ⊠For me, with the first dose, I pretty much just had 5 days of fatigue. I just felt really, really tried for about 5 days and it went away.â
That said, April added it was âintense.â
âMy second dose, about 13 hours after the injection, I got a fever and chills,â she added. âJust really bad body aches and it lasted 36 hours. ⊠But some people donât have the same response. ⊠Itâs kind of the same when you get a flu shot. ⊠Itâs all about how your body reacts.â
