Sephora has made the move to become a fur-free establishment after announcing that they will no longer sell mink eyelashes online or in-store after pressure from PETA.
PETA ended up sending out a graphic email of a mink farm along with over 280,000 emails to Sephora shoppers to show them what minks go through to supply the eyelashes for shoppers.
"There's no difference between a mink coat and mink eyelashes when it comes to animal suffering," said PETA EVP Tracy Reiman. "PETA is celebrating Sephora's decision to join scores of other brands that know there's nothing beautiful about stealing an animal's fur."
Sephora plans to phase out its remaining stock of mink eyelashes and will only offer synthetic or faux-fur lashes.
