This made my day today.
By now you know that Google often uses its homepage to pay homage and educate users on historical figures and cultural traditions. Well today I happened to hop on the popular search engine and immediately noticed that their usual logo was absent and in place was a beautiful logo paying homage to Lotería!
Chances are if you grew up in a Mexican household you played the beloved board game at some point, especially when the entire family gathered for the holidays. So obviously seeing the Lotería Doodle honoring the traditional game and educating a new generation of people about its origins really made me feel proud.
According to Mitú, Perla Campos,Google Doodle’sGlobal Marketing Lead, is one of the individuals we can thank for pushing Google’s innovation team to celebrate Mexican culture.
