Selena Will Be Honored With Lifetime Achievement Award at 2021 Grammys

The 63rd Annual Grammy Awards are taking place this coming Sunday, March 14, 2021 and we couldn't be more excited! Why? Because the Tejano legend, Selena is being honored with a posthumous Lifetime Achievement Award!

The awards show was originally slated for Sunday, Jan. 31 at 8 p.m. ET., but due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, was moved to March.

Selena Quintanilla will be recognized with the academy's Lifetime Achievement Award, according to the Grammy Awards website. What exactly is a this special Lifetime Achievement Award? They are uniquely "presented to performers who during their lifetimes, have made creative contributions of outstanding artistic significance to the field of recording."

She joins artists including The Rolling Stones, Stevie Wonder and Dolly Parton in receiving this award.

The singer was murdered in 1995, but but her impact on the music industry continues!
