J Balvin has earned himself another Guinness World Record title!
The Latin Urban singer broke the record for being the artist with the most Latin GRAMMY nominations in a year with an incredible 13 nominations for the 2020 Latin GRAMMY Awards ceremony.
The 21st Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards took place Thursday night in Miami, Florida! With his whopping 13 nominations, J Balvin takes the Guinness World Records title from Puerto Rican duo Calle 13. They previously held the top spot with their ten nominations for the 12th annual ceremony back in 2011. This is amazing! Congratulations, J Balvin!
He received two nominations in the Record of the Year category for “Rojo” and “China,” and two nominations in the Album of the Year category for Colores and his collaborative project with Bad Bunny, Oasis.
This isn't the first time the Colombian artist breaks a Guinness World Record! His first was achieved in 2017, where he broke the record for the longest stay at No. 1 on theBillboard Hot Latin Songs chart by a single artist for his hit “Ginza.”
