L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti announced Friday a new program that gives drivers a $20 discount on certain traffic citations.... if you pay within 48 hours, of course!
The program dubbed “Early Pay L.A.” goes into effect Monday, Nov. 2, and will remain in effect through June 2021.
Garcetti's new program is intended to help Angelenos financially through these unprecedented times.
“Early Pay L.A.” will award discounts for early payment on citations related to the following: residential street sweeping, overnight and oversize parking districts, and vehicles displaying recently expired permits within preferential parking districts.
“Early Pay L.A. is one of several programs LADOT uses to reduce the financial burden of parking citations for our most vulnerable.”
