Taco Bell is reimagining the future of their restaurants.
The fast-food giant's newest restaurant design will emphasize the drive-thru experience, limiting the human interaction. Of course, inspired and suitable by the coronavirus era.
Taco Bell plans on cutting back on dining room seating, and adding second drive-thru lanes. The coolest part? One of those two drive-thru lanes will be dedicated specifically for mobile-orders. Their "Go Mobile" app concept is set to debut next year.
This new restaurant design comes as a response to the "changing ways consumers began ordering fast food" since the the coronavirus pandemic started.
Taco Bell's parent company - Yum! Brands - said it served an additional 5 million cars through the taco chain’s drive-thrus compared with the same time a year ago. That is awesome!
The "Go Mobile" App will also allow you to do curbside pick-up and contactless pickups and "bellhops". You may be asking what "bellhops" are? Taco Bell describes it as when a masked employee who is stationed outside will be taking customers' orders on a tablet.
Don't worry, you'll still be able to order at the counter. That isn't eliminate...yet.
