Dodgers to Sell Season Seats with Cutouts of Fans’ Faces For Up to $299

The Dodgers are giving fans the chance to be at their games amidst the coronavirus pandemic.

The Dodgers on Tuesday announced that they will be selling cardboard cutouts with fans’ photos that will be displayed in the stands for the entire season, the Los Angeles Times reports.

Your stadium fill-in cutouts will each cost either $299 for the Dugout Club and the new Pavilion Home Run Seats, or $149 for the Loge and Field levels, according to a news release from the team. Additionally, net proceeds will reportedly go to the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation.

This is fun and exciting news for Dodgers fans who may not be able to physically cheer on the Boys in Blue at Dodger Stadium when the 2020 season begins next week!

The presale began Tuesday for My Dodgers Members and Premium Clients, while everyone else will be able to reserve a cutout beginning 10 a.m. Wednesday at Dodgers.com/FanCutouts, the report adds. The Los Angeles Times report continues by adding that fans will not be allowed to display loyalty toward another team.

Additionally, the cutouts will reportedly be made of a weatherproof material, and yes you CAN take yours home after the season! One thing The Dodgers made clear is that in the event the team is allowed to sell tickets later in the season, the Dodgers said they would “reserve the right to relocate or remove fan cutouts,” with no refunds or credits to buyers of the cutouts.

The Dodgers are scheduled to open the season at home against the Giants next Thursday.
