Pechanga Resort Casino is officially back in business.... but of course while still adhering to safety measures!
After being closed for more than months due to COVID-19, the beloved resort and casino has resumed operations, The Daily Breeze reports.
After setting an opening date of June 1, 2020, the near-Temecula based entertainment resort opened its gaming-floor, along with some of its restaurants and bars. This is just phase 1 of its reopening, so the safety measures in places include the following:
- Smoking is prohibited during phase 1.
- Occupancy is limited to about 50%.
- Half of Pechanga's slot machines will remain inactive.
- The Casino conducted temperature checks at four available entrances
- Table games at the resort were heavily modified with plastic shields that separated the dealer from the players.
- Pechanga’s Temptations Food Walk food court separated their tables by distances of six feet and more.
- Pechanga's hotel is currently not open - they will begin accepting reservations starting July 1st.
- The casino has not announced any concerts or major events for the immediate future.
- The buffet remains closed.
- The pool, spa, Eagle’s Nest Nightclub and Pechanga Comedy Club remain closed.
- Pechanga’s poker room and off-track betting facility also remain closed.
The report also adds that casino officials have not announced when the above mentioned amenities will reopen or return! According to The Daily Breeze, the reopening was "light" in attendance.
