Dodger Stadium has become the largest coronavirus testing site in California and reportedly has the capacity to test up to 6,000 people a day.
The announcement was made today (Tuesday, 05/26) by L.A. Mayor Garcetti. The new drive-through site at Dodger Stadium is reportedly one of, if not, the largest testing site in the nation.
Mayor Eric Garcetti says that number is three times more than any other testing site in the county. The creation of this testing site comes after the mayor announced that testing expanded for any resident regardless of whether they have coronavirus symptoms.
According to KTLA, Garcetti said Los Angeles has the capacity to test 20,000 people a day and so far, about 450,000 Angelenos have gotten tested.
Additionally, the site will have big screens playing videos showing how to complete a test. The goal is to inform drivers exactly what to do when they reach the front of the line
