Los Angeles County's Department of Public Health will soon start publicly listing restaurants that have had Coronavirus outbreaks.
A Los Angeles Times report says the director of the Department of Public Health -- Dr. Barbara Ferrer -- said the county already lists on its website confirmed COVID-19 cases that have occurred in nursing facilities, jails and prisons, shelters, treatment centers and other “institutional settings.” Restaurants are next in line to get the online treatment.
According to Ferrer, the list of restaurants that have had outbreaks will be available later this week. At the moment, it is unclear how the policy will be implemented. The LA Times adds that what constitutes an outbreak or how long the restaurants will be listed online.
The report also adds that the county's public COVID-19 list will include facilities that have at least one confirmed case among staff or residents once the facility is given official notice.
