We've heard of 'working from home'. How about 'recreating works of art from home'?
The Getty Museum in Los Angeles, which is closed until further notice due to Covid-19, has found a unique way to engage the public in appreciating art. In order to keep the arts alive during the stay at home order in the state of California, the Getty has asked people to recreate their favorite works of art using household objects.
So while you're in self-quarantine, be sure to take a moment to 'recreate art from home." See the Getty Museum's tweet below:
According to the Getty Museum, their staff was inspired by a similar online challenge issued by The Rijksmuseum museum in Amsterdam. An Instagram account called "Between Art and Quarantine” has also promoted that challenge.
Many folks at home have already taken part in this art recreation challenge during their quarantine time. Will you take part in this?
