Rare Photos of Selena Showcased at McNay Art Museum In Texas

Selena's legacy lives on!

It has been more than two decades since the world said goodbye to La Reina de Tejano, but fans of Selena continue to receive new content and information about her. A new exhibition in San Antonio, Texas is displaying five never-before-displayed (and for many never-before-seen) images of Selena Quintanilla.

Titled Selena Forever / Siempre Selena, the McNay Art Museum in San Antonio, Texas exhibits the the work of San Antonio-based photographer - John Dyer - who worked closely with Quintanilla. The photos in the Selena Forever / Siempre Selena exhibit are from his work in the '90s, which were featured in Más Magazine, People Magazine,Texas Monthly and more.

Selena Forever / Siempre Selena opened this week on January 15th! The museum's statement read as follows:

‘The McNay pays tribute to 90s icon, singer, designer, and Texas legend — Selena Quintanilla-Pérez — with five photographs by award-winning San Antonio photographer John Dyer. Selena was the subject of Dyer’s photo assignments for the cover of Más Magazine in 1992 and again for Texas Monthly in 1995, just months before she was tragically killed at age 23.”
