Google has announced its top trending searches of the year!
The internet world was Googling some of the year's biggest controversies, biggest movies, and much more. The list includes everything from news and entertainment to the classic, "What is..." query. Here is a look at the top trending searches of the year:
- Disney+ is at the top of the list. (including, of course, Baby Yoda fromThe Mandalorian)
- Cameron Boyce: The sudden death of the 20-year-old actor Cameron Boyce struck a chord with many searchers this year.
- Nipsey Hussle: The rapper was shot and killed in May of 2019.
- Hurricane Dorian: The storm slammed the Bahamas, United States and Canada in September, killing at least 30 people in the Bahamas.
- Antonio Brown: The former NFL player was released from the New England Patriots following accusations by two women of sexual misconduct.
- Luke Perry: The former "Beverly Hills 90210" and "Riverdale" star Luke Perry died March 4 from suffering a massive stroke.
- 'Avengers: Endgame': Well...the film is the highest grossing film EVER!
- 'Game of Thrones': The final season of Game of Thrones had fans very disappointed.
- iPhone 11: Apple dropped their iPhone 11 and 11 Pro / Pro Max.
- Jussie Smollett: Y'all remember that controversy? The 'Empire' actor reported a hate crime attack in January which investigators later concluded had been a false claim meant to boost his public profile.
