Y'all remember Doña Angela? The abuelita from Michoacan, Mexico who went viral for her amazing cooking videos?
Nearly two months ago, the world was introduced to the 69-year-old viral star, after she and her family uploaded videos of herself making home-cooked videos onto her YouTube channel, De mi Rancho a Tu Cocina!
Well, the adorable cook has been rewarded by YouTube for achieving a milestone on her channel. She has earned the Gold Creator Award, which is a gold-plated brass award that is given to those YouTubers who have more than 1 million followers. She simultaneously received the Silver Play Button for reaching 100,000 subscribers.
AMAZING! Congratulations, Doña Angela. She shared her excitement with her YouTube subscribers as well as her 22 thousand Instagram followers by posting a video and photo of herself with the two plaques.
“Thanks to you I’ve gotten to where I am,” she said in her unboxing video. “Because you have supported me, you’ve helped me and thank you to my daughters, who have also helped me a lot… I hope you continue to support me.” (originally in Spanish)
Doña Angela now has over 1.62 million followers on her YouTube channel and she will continue to grow. I mean, who doesn't love her warm videos that remind you of the women in your family?
