Selena's iconic final concert at the Houston Astrodome is now on Amazon Prime Video!
Y'all may remember the Tejano Queen's legendary performance for her purple jumpsuit, which eventually became the popular outfit Selena is known for!
You may also remember the Houston Astrodome concert from Gregory Nava’s biopic...you know...the one that put Jennifer Lopez on the map? The biopic version of the concert actually included actual footage from the Houston Astrodome.
This is the first time the concert is available to stream (rent or buy) on Amazon's video service. That Astrodome concert aired on Univision in 1995!
Titled Selena – The Last Concert: Live From the Astrodome, the concert is a 54-minute chronicle of la Reina de la Cumbia. She performed a disco medley, which included “Funkytown” and “I Will Survive” as well as her hits, such as “No Me Queda Más” and “Bidi Bidi Bom Bom.” ICONIC!
It was also the final televised concert performance by Selena before Yolanda Saldívar tragically shot and killed her on March 31,1995. Furthermore, the concert was released on DVD in 2003 as Live: The Last Concert, it was put out by the Quintanilla family’s production company and Image Entertainment.
