Camila Cabello Teases Collaboration With Spanish Legend Alejandro Sanz

Camila Cabello is working on her second album, but that doesn't mean we have to wait for new music!

The "Consequences" singer broke the news that she and Spanish music legend, Alejandro Sanz, will be releasing a track together this Thursday! The song, “Mi Persona Favorita” (“My Favorite Person”), is part of Sanz’s upcoming album titled El Disco.

The 22-year-old singer wrote on Instagram: "Last summer, Alejandro called me and asked if I could fly to Miami to do a song together for his new album. It’s not a secret that I’ve been his fan all my life and his offer left me petrified. And, without waiting another minute I took the first flight to Miami!”

As she mentioned, she is a HUGE fan of Alejandro Sanz, so she continued: “Alejandro, your music has been the soundtrack of my family’s life and mine. And, now I have the privilege to call you my friend and collaborator (I still can’t believe it). Making this song with you has been something really special and an adventure. Thank you for thinking of me and for inviting me to work together."

Now the cutest part is when Camila says this is all for her younger sister: “I dedicate this song to my little sister, Sofi, who is ‘My Favorite Person. You’ll finally be able to hear it and I’m super excited. This is a magical moment.

Alejandro Sanz is an icon in the Spanish-Language music industry, and has been so for over 3 decades. He has countless hits, that sends listeners into a trance of sultry lyrics and romantic melodies.

This is not the first interaction between the two singers. In 2017, Camila paid tribute to Sanz at the Latin GRAMMY "Person of the Year" gala. There she performed "Quisiera Ser" with Juanes.
