From murals, to t-shirts, or even recreating her style, fans continue level up their creativity when it comes to honoring her status as a Latin icon. Well, two mega fans in Portland have proven that you can never do too much when it comes to the Queen of Tejanas, Selena.
Meet the "Traveling Selena" doll. She lives through Instagram, and travels through various landmarks around the world. The unofficial Instagram account has zero affiliation with Selena's estate, however pays great attention to the iconic Selena.
The Traveling Selena has already been to places such as the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, Thailand, the Seven Magic Mountains in Las Vegas, and the beaches of Aruba.
A Selena fan page wouldn't be a TRUE fan page without honoring some of Selena's most iconic looks. The doll is scene 'dolled' up in Selena's iconic long black hair, large gold hoops, red lipstick ruffled top blouses, bedazzled bustiers and her signature hats.
Billboard interviewed the two friends who run this Instagram account and learned that Leory Pena and Eva McDaniel are working hard to keep Selena's legacy alive.
"The purpose of this account is to bring smiles and joy to Selena fans and people who love to travel. We're just doing our small part to help keep Selena's legacy alive and growing." The Traveling Selena account has been gracing timelines since August of last year, and the two managers are based out of Portland, Oregon.
