Musicians Emilio and Gloria Estefan are partnering with the Latin Grammy Cultural Foundation to help aspiring music students.
The Latin music legends will fund a $200,000, four-year scholarship for a music student completing a bachelor’s degree at Berklee College of Music in Boston.
The hefty scholarship, titled The Emilio and Gloria Estefan Scholarship, will be administered by The Latin Grammy Cultural Foundation.
The The Latin Grammy Cultural Foundation was created 5 years ago to support music education and of course, Latin music.
The Estefans will be the fifth Latin stars to co-sponsor the scholarship, which has worked with the likes of Enrique Iglesias (2015), Juan Luis Guerra (2016), Miguel Bose (2017) and Carlos Vives (2018).
"Twenty years ago we were part of the founding committee that launched the Latin Grammys and it is such a satisfying honor to be a part of this organization as benefactors that will make reality the dream of one student with interest in Latin music,” said Emilio Estefan.
