Here's A Hack For A Slightly Healthier PSL From Starbucks

Late last month (August), Starbucks rolled out their Fall drinks and pastries and we all know what that means....CALORIES! 

Now, if you're like most of us and can't get enough of the Pumpkin Spice Latte, but worry about calories, there may be a solution to that.

Now before we move forward with this information, you have one more chance to view a tradition (hot) Pumpkin Spice Latte. Look at this beauty below - photo courtesy of Starbucks' Official Instagram account: 


If you're willing to change up the drink a tad bit in order to save on some of those calories, then here it is. In an email from a company representative, a lower-calorie PSL can be accomplished by requesting an Americano with pumpkin spice sauce, whipped cream, and pumpkin topping. Basically, hold the milk...tada!! This of course applies to the hot beverage, but in turn can always be made over ice immediately. 

It seems Starbucks themselves are catching on to everyone's health kicks with the introduction of the vegan protein shakes. Therefore, who knows what may come in the future. A super low calorie PSL, or Frappuccino?
