China Kindergarten Principal Fired Over Pole Dancing Show

Parents! Can you imagine yourself dropping your child off for their first day of kindergarten, and you find a pole dancer there for the welcome back ceremony? Well, thats exactly what happened at a Chinese kindergarten!

Many parents were shocked to find female performers at the back-to-school ceremony held Monday at Xinshahui Kindergarten, located in the city of Shenzen.

Videos posted by parents on Monday show the "skimpily-dressed" dancer spinning and leaning seductively on the flagpole, from which a Chinese flag was flying. I can't even begin to fathom how I would react if I saw this at my children's first day of school! WOW!

Speaking to state media, the principal Lai Rong said there had been 500 children aged three to six and 100 parents in attendance.

The principal has since been fired. Watch video posted by parents on Twitter below:

The school's principal, Lai Rong, claims “The goal was to get the kids to learn more about one variety of dance."

In a statement posted to Weibo on Monday afternoon, the local education bureau said an investigation had found a pole dancing business had been invited into the kindergarten to perform.

The school issued an apology, admitting that “there was a lack of comprehensive consideration of the contents of the performance,” according to the Times.

Parents! I would love to hear how you guys feel about this? I am literally in shock that this would really happen at a kindergarten!
