Fifth Harmony’s Dinah Jane Signs Solo Deal With L.A. Reid’s Hitco

Harmonizers, you're in for some exciting news! Variety magazine has reported that former member of Fifth Harmony - Dinah Jane -has signed a solo record deal with L.A Reid's new record label, Hitco. 

A new single by Jane is expected in the coming weeks. Variety has learned from sources that L.A Reid himself introduced her new music to radio programmers at the iHeartRadio summit, currently taking place in New York City.

L.A Reid is no stranger to Dinah Jane. He served as a judge on "The X-Factor" USA, the show that formed hopefuls Camila Cabello, Lauren Jauregui, Normani, Ally Brooke and Dinah Jane into the successful band, Fifth Harmony.

With Dinah Jane's signing, Hitco now has about 15 artists, including Outkast's Big Boi, upcoming rappers Skinnyfromthe9, Yella Beezy and DJ Holiday, whose latest single, "2 Seater," features Quavo and 21 Savage. She a joining a roster of up and coming artists! 

 
 

Since Fifth Harmony's announcement of their hiatus, Dinah Jane has been keeping busy! Prior to the solo transition, she was featured on RedOne's song "Boom Boom" along with Daddy Yankee and French Montana. Even more exciting news, she has been working on projects outside of music; Dinah is set to appear in the Netflix film, "The After Party".

Snippets of Dinah recording a music video with Marc e. Bassy and Ty Dolla $ign have appeared all over social media, exciting many fans. No details on track titles or her solo album have been revealed. 

 

The girl-group alumni is the last of all five Fifth Harmony members to sign a solo-record deal. Harmonizers have a lot to look forward to as all 5 former members of Fifth Harmony are set to release new music. 

We've seen Camila Cabello go solo in which she released a hit album that contained the No. 1 smash “Havana;” Normani signed with Keep Cool/ RCA records in April and is set to release her upcoming album, Lauren Jauregui has released collaborations with Marian Hill (“Back to Me”), Steve Akoi (“All Night”), and Halsey (“Strangers”), while working on music for a forthcoming solo album. Ally Brooke is also working on a debut album, recently signing to Latium Entertainment, which has a joint venture deal with Atlantic Records. (Variety)
