Music festivals are a great opportunity for people to gather and enjoy great music. Well, here is a rare festival with an unexpected lineup that is gaining popularity here in SoCal.
Called the Tropicalia Music Fetsival, it will headline two of the biggest names in music history: Cardi B and Morrissey.
The second annual Tropicália Music & Taco Festival is scheduled for Nov. 3 and 4 at the Queen Mary Events Park in Long Beach.
Cardi B has delivered hit after hit and has many fans excited! She recently pulled out of an opening slot on Bruno Mars' upcoming tour because she said she needed more time to recover from giving birth in July.
Other big names include Morrissey and Mac DeMarco, and for those of you who love Spanish music (like me), then you'll be super excited to hear that Los Angeles Azules and La Sonora Dinamita are performing too! Oh, and we can't forget the "Como La Flor Band" which is a Selena Quintanilla cover band!
Other acts scheduled to perform at Tropicália — presented by L.A.-based Goldenvoice, which also puts on the Coachella and Stagecoach festivals — include Kali Uchis, Mac DeMarco, Chicano Batman, Mazzy Star, Devendra Banhart, Clairo and Natalia Lafourcade.
Tickets go on sale Friday starting at $99 a pop.
Will you be attending? I think I'll be going! If you want to jam out to the headliners Cardi B and Morrissey before the festival, then here are their music videos below:
