Paul Walker will be remembered and celebrated in a new documentary premiering next month.
According to a release from the Paramount Network, the project titled "I Am Paul Walker", will chronicle "the charismatic and massively popular movie star whose life was tragically cut short in a car accident that devastated his fans, family, and friends,".
The later actor, who came to fame as the star of the street racing franchise "Fast & Furious" was killed in a horrific car crash 5 years ago (2013). He was a passenger of a 2005 Porsche Carrera GT - who was being driven by a racing team partner, Roger Rodas.
The Porsche Carrera slammed into a light pole and burst into flames in an office park in the community of Valencia in Santa Clarita...about 30 miles north of Hollywood.
The documentary will also feature Walker’s parents and siblings Cody, Caleb and Ashlie. T“Fast and Furious” co-star Tyrese Gibson and director Rob Cohen and “Running Scared” director Wayne Kramer will also be interviewed.
The film looks back at Walker’s childhood in California, his film career and his philanthropy. He helped rebuild Haiti after the 2010 earthquake and established the disaster relief charity Reach Out WorldWide.
Adrian Buitenhuis, who produced films on Heath Ledger, Chris Farley and Muhammad Ali, directed the documentary.
"I Am Paul Walker" premieres August 9.
