If you can't get enough of the "Fab 5" from Queer Eye, well it seems like you may be getting more...to eat?
Queer Eye's resident culinary expert, Antoni Porowki, has announced that he has plans to open what he calls a "fast-casual" restaurant in New York City. Can we get a "yasssss"? Who doesn't love food, especially when it is coming from Antoni Porowski himself?
The Netflix star made this announcement at a panel moderated by Teen Vogue's Phillip Picardi, where he was accompanied by the rest of his Queer Eye co-stars.
When asked about the project, he said he wasn't "supposed to talk about it," but of course he caved and gave the details about it.
"I’m all about like cheese and pork belly and decadence, and as a result of the increased vanity of being on camera all the time and working out and eating healthy, I’m developing a fast-casual food concept restaurant that I’m gonna be opening here in New York," he said.
Porwoski dished (get it?) on how much he has always loved food.
"They asked me how has food been part of your life, and I realized that it’s been this constant that’s always been there in some way, shape, or form, whether it’s privately cooking for my family and loved ones and friends, to working in a professional capacity. It’s always been there."
On the show, Porowski’s job is to help straight men (sometimes women and gay men) step it up in the kitchen. He usually takes the person's favorite dish and takes it to the next level, or usually adds a "Porowski touch"...wow I should pitch that to him. He has worked at various point in his private life as busboy, a waiter, a manager and well we see where he is now.
The member of the "Fab 5" now has a career that has really taken off since his debut on the wildly popular Netflix show. In addition to this restaurant, he also has cook book in the works.
