IHOP is officially changing its name, but hasn’t announced why or exactly what it means yet!
IHOP has been hinting that a big change is coming on their Twitter and Instagram accounts. The change is simply the flip of the letter "p" to the letter "b".
The pancake chain, in a tweet Monday morning, suggested that it would change its name from "IHOP" to "IHOb" starting June 11.
Many people thought it was a typo when it was first announced. That's right. It's not a typo! The company has not disclosed the meaning of the new acronym.
The company announced Tuesday that it will announce what the new name is all about on June 11.
In the meantime, it's taking customers' guesses. Check out the poll they posted on Twitter:
Is it biscuits? Bacon? Butternut squash? Barnacles?
