"Representation matters. So every time there´s another Latino on this Walk of Fame, it´s another win for a whole community," - Eva Longoria
Well this is definitely a win for the Latin community! Eva Longoria, best known for her role in the TV series "Desperate Housewives," got a star on Hollywood´s Walk of Fame!
Her friends and family were present to celebrate her accomplishment, including pop star Ricky Martin, actress Anna Faris, and Felicity Huffman, who played alongside Longoria for eight seasons in the TV drama “Desperate Housewives”.
“I feel like I’m still a little girl from Corpus Christi, Texas, who had a really big dream and big hair”, she said to everyone present. If that isn't humility, then I don't know what is.

The very pregnant Longoria jokingly said it's her soon-to-be-born son that was making her so emotional at the ceremony.
She also went on to say that she stands proud to represent her community: “As a woman and as a Latina, I represent a lot of communities, and I want to tell all those communities that this isn’t my star, this is our star.” I am so incredibly proud of her, and my community!
Eva Longoria is a part of the “Latinas Who Lunch” community, designed for Latinas in Hollywood to come together and talk not only about their struggles but also how they can support each other and future generations.
“We’ve all felt like the industry has pitted us against each other and made us feel like there’s only room for one — but that’s not true. So if we unite and create opportunities for each other and pull each other up, there could be a lot more success for representation on TV,” Longoria says.
