Starbucks Coffee is a global brand with a location in nearly every corner of the world. People of all ages can recognize the logo, no matter where...even if in a national park?
That's right! Yosemite National Park has opened its first Starbucks store at The Majestic Yosemite Hotel.
The opening of this Starbucks has come with tons of polarity. In fact, if you remember, there was a huge petition to prevent this from happening. Many prefer to keep corporations out of the national park.
It’s not a free-standing Starbucks, operated by the Seattle-based corporation. (Think of the locations at Disneyland and California Adventure). There are no giant logos to indicate the presence of the coffee shop.
Instead, it will be an outlet of the coffee giant licensed and operated by another giant multinational corporation, Aramark, using the Starbucks logo and products.
Here is a glimpse at what the Yosemite Valley Lodge will look like (video courtesy ofABC30):
I don't mind that there this is a Starbucks in Yosemite. They have delicious coffee and they are simply trying to meet the demands of people like me.
What do you guys think?
