The saying "nothing lasts forever" has become more applicable as we see pieces of our childhood disappear.
Sadly, the toy superstore chain - Toys R Us - has filed that it must liquidate and will likely result in the closure of all its 800 stores.
The company is shopping a plan that could ultimately save roughly 200 stores from going dark if it's able to find a buyer.
The retailer filed for bankruptcy protection last September and since has struggled to pay it's debt.
Toys R US went to Twitter to acknowledge the love and support they have received from loyal customers:
Toys R Us said it has enough money left to pay its 33,000 workers for "no fewer than 60 days."
Toys R Us was such a big part of so many of our childhoods, so seeing it vanish into the past brings a feeling of nostalgia.
