Chewing Mints Actually Makes Your Bad Breath Worse

About one in five people regularly use mints to freshen their breath, but a new study says they're only making the problem worse. 

One dentist said it’s because sugar causes odors.  

Dr. James Buchanan said, 'Mouth bacteria turns sugar in mints to acid which wears down teeth and causes bad breath. 

It is best to use something like a sugar-free gum.

Best things you can eat for bad breath are celery and apples that help by increasing your saliva and washing away odor-causing particles.
