The average American is now twice as likely to get arthritis than our grandparents were. And they say it’s because people are less active today.
Researchers examined more than 2,000 skeletons from deceased patients over the last 100-years to track how rates of arthritis of the knee has changed in the US.
They found people today are twice as likely to get the arthritis than their grandparents.
We are spending more time sitting down and less time moving.
What we need to do is focus more on being active even if it is just for a few minutes a day.
