Lady Gaga officially has new music on the the way, but Little Monsters hoping for an official LG7 still have to wait a bit longer as her new album will be a companion to her upcoming film Joker: Folie à Deux.
On Tuesday (September 24), Gaga confirmed on Instagram that her next album, Harlequin, will drop Friday (September 27). The 13-track project will be a "companion album" to the Joker sequel coming to theaters next month in which she stars as Harley Quinn alongside Joaquin Phoenix as the titular character.
The announcement includes a photo of the "Born this Way" singer wearing a life jacket in the shower as water sprays down her face, causing the Harley Quinn-style makeup to run in streaks along her cheek. A second gritty photo showcases a dented milk carton next to a Joker mask and pot of coffee and features what appears to be the tracklisting for the album.
Gaga previously teased a new project in mysterious posts on Instagram as well as billboards displaying the number "6.5," which Variety notes points to the album not being a full Lady Gaga studio album, which fans have taken to calling LG7.
Here are the suspected tracks listed on the milk carton:
- Good Morning
- Get Happy (2024)
- Oh, When the Saints
- World On A String
- If My Friends Could See Me Now
- That's Entertainment
- Smile
- The Joker
- Folie À Deux
- Gonna Build A Mountain
- Close To You
- Happy Mistake
- That's Life
Harlequin drops September 27, while Joker: Folie à Deux comes out October 4.
