Costco is planning to crack down on people sharing membership cards to enter its stores.
Previously, membership cards were only requested at the cash registers, but now they will also be checked at self-checkout registers.
Stores will also require a photo ID if the membership card does not have a picture.
The company said in a statement, “We don’t feel it’s right that non-members receive the same benefits and pricing as our members.”
