Disney has announced that it is giving one of its oldest rides a facelift. The Jungle cruise ride is one of the last attractions at the theme parks that was personally overseen by Walt Disney, it's located at both Disneyland in Ca and Walt Disney World in Florida.
The ride which was inspired by nature documentaries, has been called out in the last few years for distasteful imagery. The parks plan to make thee ride more inclusive, following years of complaints of racism. A "Jungle Cruise" movie is also on the way, starring Emily Blunt and The Rock, due out later in 2021.
No word yet on whether Disney will follow what they did with 'Pirates of the Caribbean' where thee movie mirrors the ride.
