Maria Menounos reveals she has been battling a brain tumor. On June 8th she underwent a seven hour surgery to remove a golf ball sized tumor, the doctor was able to remove 99.9 percent of it and it was benign. But, there is a six to seven percent chance it could return.
Since the surgery she has been healing at home and spending time by her mother's side as she is fighting stage 4 brain cancer. Which all of this occurring with her health and with her family she has decided to step down as anchor at E! News.
She told E! News,
"I am so grateful for the past three years at E!. I had such an amazing time co-hosting with Jason Kennedy and working everyday with the wonderful roster of talent on the show including producers, staff and crew. It was such a special, good-hearted group and one I'll always consider family,"
We are praying for her and her mother during this time, may they regain their health. Nobody should have to go through this.
