If you have furry babies at home you'll want to make sure they're safe during this Fourth Of July weekend. Most of our pets are scared of fireworks and run scared. This is the busiest holiday at the shelters because so many pets end up lost. Here's a few things you'll want to do to prepare:
- Make sure your pets are safe inside so they don't have a chance at running away.
- Make sure your pets are wearing ID tags with info on how to reach you in case they do get out.
- Take a current photo of your pets just in case.
- If you can get your pets micro-chipped (many places offer low cost micro-chipping) that would help your pet find it's way back home in case he/she gets out.
Check off all the items we've provided below (and above) to make sure your babies are safe this holiday weekend. I can't even tell you how devastated I would be if i lost my babies. Hope you and your fur babies have a safe holiday!
