Black Brewers Day has been a recognized day throughout the country since 1970, but today is the first time it is being celebrated in LA County.
Spearheading this movement was supervisor Holly Mitchell. After getting the official approval from the county, she put together a scroll presentation and a celebration that will be happening today at 3200 W. Manchester Boulevard in Inglewood. According to KTLA, it will also be live streamed.
So be sure to support a black owned brewery today. Here is a list of the ones in LA:
