By 2032 you will no longer see self serve soda fountains in the McDonald's dining rooms. So this means the employee will no longer hand you a cup to get your own drinks.
According to NBC Los Angeles, McDonalds's says the change is intended to "create a consistent experience for both McDonald’s workers and their customers at all ordering points — meaning that whether you order your Big Mac Meal via McDelivery, the app, kiosk, drive-thru or in-restaurant, you’ll get your grub the same exact way."
Ever since COVID, less people are eating inside of fast food restaurants. I can't even remember the last time I sat inside the dining room at McDonald's.
